For those of you who don’t frequent the Colbert Nation site on a regular basis, they’ve posted a web exclusive bonus performance of Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers. Have I mentioned yet how much I really, really like Rare Bird Alert? It’s fantastic music. (Interesting side effect of repeated listenings: I keep hearing phantom banjo music in my head.) I hope Stephen is rested and ready to rock and roll after his week off. I’m certainly happy to have him back. Since I’m getting a special kick out of Jewish Stephen, I’m eager to see where he’ll go with this clever idea. Since Passover comes before Easter (well, it s the Last Supper, after all), Stephen will still be Jewish for the holiday. Does that mean he’ll stop eating bread with his bacon and eggs?
