Get Stephen Colbert on your iPhone
Posted by: | CommentsIf you’ve ever watched The WØRD and wished you could just wrap it up and take it with you, well, now there’s an app for that. From AppShopper.com:
. . .
Download The Word iPhone App and you’ll have every Word at your fingertips — anywhere, anytime — listed either by date or alphabetically. There’s even a “Surprise me!” function. Every time Stephen does a new Word it will be posted and featured, too.
So if you’ve dreamed about having Stephen in your pocket (and who hasn’t?), you can stop dreaming and start downloading. And don’t forget to check back soon for more apps from The Colbert Report!
According to our resident iPhone owner DB, the app works pretty well on 3G (it’s a little blurry) but should be even better on WiFi. She also sent a few screenshots so you can get an idea of what the menu and segments look like (check out the links).
Pretty cool, huh? It will be interesting to see what other apps the show has in store. Maybe I’ll consider getting an iPhone someday.

For those of you who can’t get enough of the iPhone 3G fever
Posted by: | CommentsIn case you got swept up in the Applemania going on all over the internet today, and got yourself a new iPhone 3G, I wanted to remind you of a very cool and clever thing you can do with your iPhone – bookmark this site to your main screen! Click here for instructions – it will look a little something like this:

We’ve got cool little iPhone icons for both this site and a new icon I whipped up just today for Colbert University.
Something else that’s really cool about the iPhone 2.0 upgrade that I just discovered – when we link a YouTube video on the site, you can click on the video to be taken to the YouTube application and watch the video on your iPhone. Now, if Apple can only get Flash videos to work so I can watch Comedy Central site videos, I would be amazingly happy.
Here’s a little more iPhone hysteria, courtesy of our favorite late night pundit who wants a free iPhone, Stephen Colbert.
