Six Degrees: The I Can’t Believe it’s Already February Edition.
Posted by: | Comments![]()
Am I the only one completely baffled by the fact that January has gone by in the blink of an eye and that we’re already steam rolling straight through February? February of course, can mean only one thing – Vancouver!! But while Stephen is off polishing his skates in preparation for the Winter Olympics his friends will be back in the good old US of A working on their latest new projects.

ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG BOBBY IS BACK!!!!!!!1!!11!
Posted by: | CommentsHoly friggin’ CRAP people! Just saw this news on Eric Drysdale’s blog:
Col-back.
Sunday, 25 Oct 2009I return to the writing staff of The Colbert Report. October 26, 2009. I will be concentrating on this rather than outside stuff/performing for a while. Please tune in to one of the finest, funniest shows on TV. I’m thrilled to be back.
Hold on, deep breath ….
WHOOOOOOO!!!!!
For those of you who may be new to the show, Eric Drysdale has been working with Stephen since the ‘Daily Show’. He followed Stephen to the ‘Colbert Report’ and worked with him until around the time the writers returned from the WGA Writer’s Strike in April 2008. In addition his fine writing abilities, he is best known to the fans as the character Stage Manager Bobby.
We here at No Fact Zone were heartbroken to see him go, and are ecstatic to see him back! Here’s some of the tastiest morsels of Eric Drysdale’s career in the final segments before he left the show last year.

Six degrees: A great big post about people we love
Posted by: | Comments
Hey, everyone, looks like it’s “clean out my inbox” day again, and I’ve got a lot of updates and tips to pass along to you all.
On a more personal note, I’m currently digging out from underneath a cartoonishly large workload, which was itself just buried under a new mountain of tasks today, so I’m really not sure when I’ll have time to do another one of these posts. I say this to encourage you to leave any additional tips and/or links in the comments to this post, as I suspect a baby born today might reach the legal drinking age before I have free time to do another Six Degrees entry. That said, I’m taking the time to do this one, so read onward!
The Daily Show correspondents
- If you TiVo the shows and skip the commercials, you might have missed this: The Daily Show is going to be live on Tuesday for Inauguration Day, with the correspondents weighing in from Washington, DC. This is one of the few times that DC looks like the cool place to be, so stay tuned. [Now I'm *really* peeved that I'll have to work that day ... but no way I'm doing it from DC! My office is two blocks from the White House, and I refuse to wade into that insanity if I won't even get the chance to see the party. Any of you TDS people who tire of the crowds are welcome to join me at my place, where I'll be grumbling about my job on that otherwise festive day.]
More from Eric Drysdale, J.J. Sedelmaier, Pete Grosz, Laura Krafft, John Oliver, Amy Sedaris, Demetri Martin and Ben Karlin after the fold!

Six Degrees: Eric Drysdale makes the funny on Funny or Die
Posted by: | CommentsI love Eric’s humor – it’s so corny and nerdy and the concept of the remote rewind through a smart phone is just so very, very wrong. This is doubly funny due to the announcement of the death of VCR tapes just today. Make sure to vote it “Funny” when the video is over!

Well, that was an … interesting way to send off for a three week break. Interviews where the guest doesn’t say, well, ANYTHING, are always a bit awkward. It’s always fun to see Bobby, even if he’s dead. And gets eaten. Again. And I’m pretty sure that Thong Santa made up for pretty much everything else in the show. What did all of you think of tonight’s show?
Notable Moments
- Thong Santa
- Then you go to heaven where you get to play Wii bowling with Ben Franklin
- Wrong, Athiests, you are thinking of Illinois.
- And Maybe Add Mac Start Up Chime
- Bobby, of course, how could I forget, I’m still working you off my hips.
- I wasn’t singing carols, I was chanting “Get a Job, Get a Job.”
- To prepare for this interview, I shaved off all my body hair.
- The ladies backstage want me to get you to take your shirt off.

The writers for ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’
It looks like there’s going to be a panel for the writers of ‘The Daily Show’ during the New York Comedy Festival. Since this is right after the elections, this should be an AMAZING event!
Writers Speak! A Potentially Regrettable Evening with the Writers of “The Daily Show”
Friday, November 7, 2008

New YorkIn Person
Writers Kevin Bleyer, Rich Blomquist, Tim Carvell, J.R. Havlan, Rob Kutner, Sam Means, and Jason Ross; Rory Albanese, Coexec. Prod.; Steve Bodow, Head Writer; Wyatt Cenac, Correspondent/Writer; D.J. Javerbaum, Exec. Prod.; John Oliver, Correspondent/WriterThe Peabody and Emmy Award–winning Daily Show with Jon Stewart occupies an increasingly critical position in the media landscape; as news and entertainment continue to converge in an ambiguous mélange of fatuous photo-ops and focus-grouped sound bites, this satirical “fake news” broadcast stands out as a sane, snarky voice in the wilderness, deflating the pretension and prevarication that has come to define much of modern politics and journalism. The Daily Show is at its merciless best at election time, and the Paley center is delighted to welcome the writing staff to provide insight into the process of turning the grim news of the day into dependably tart and timely comedy.
This event is part of the New York Comedy Festival.
