VIDEO: Stephen Colbert talks Iraq, Obama and Olympics on Letterman
Posted by: | CommentsCrooksandLiars.com is first out of the gate with the full video of Stephen’s appearance on Late Show with David Letterman last night. The interview jumped around quite a bit (and I felt like CBS had the longest commercial breaks ever), but it’s always nice to see Stephen out of character and supporting his various causes. Here’s the video, via The Political Carnival:

Highlights from Stephen Colbert’s Late Show with David Letterman appearance
Posted by: | CommentsSnippets from last night’s Late Show are starting to appear around “the internets”, and we know people here would like us to share them. Click here or on the image below to go to the official highlight clip from CBS:

The same video is available from Videogum here, if the CBS version doesn’t work for you. (Note: The audio seems a bit off in the Videogum link, but that could just be my internet connection being uncooperative.)
Finally, Huffington Post has a clip posted here; this one covers a slightly different portion of the interview, including the discussion of the Persian Gulf trip.
Hopefully, at least one of these will work for you. Do enjoy, kids!

Reminder: Stephen Colbert visiting David Letterman tonight
Posted by: | CommentsAs we mentioned here earlier, we have a Stephen Colbert doubleheader tonight, first on The Colbert Report and then on The Late Show with David Letterman (and Letterman’s musical guest for the night, Grizzly Bear, is still making me smile). Don’t forget to set your TiVos, kids.
Here’s another one of Stephen’s previous interviews with Dave, just to whet your collective appetite:
I’d also like to take this minute to say how much I love it when these guys host each other. I’m really bummed that Conan isn’t in New York any longer; he and Stephen were always a funny pair. And I can’t tell you how much I wish Craig Ferguson filmed in New York — he and Stephen could have teamed up for a truly epic redux of Ferguson’s recent “Oops! I Did it Again” performance.
Oh well, I’m very glad Mr. Letterman is still in the Big Apple, and I’m sure we’ll have another entertaining interview to watch and rewatch after tonight.
