A big event isn’t really an event without its own merchandise, right? Comedy Central is now selling official merchandise for the Sanity/Fear rally on October 30th. The competing rallies each have their own t-shirts, caps, pins, and bumper stickers, and the net proceeds from all of it will be going to charity.

For those of you who are planning on attending the ‘Rally to Restore Sanity’/'March to Keep Fear Alive’ event, there are ton of resources to help you find a ride to the event, good places to stay, even rallies that are happening in local venues all over the country for people who cannot get to the Washington D.C. event. It’s rare that Stephen Colbert steps (mostly) out of character to address his fans directly. But when fans raise over $140K in two days for one of his favorite charities, Donors Choose, he definitely appreciates it. Here’s a letter that was sent directly to Reddit to address the Colbert Rally community there.

What an amazing outpouring of support from the Colbert Nation! The original goal of the Restore Truthiness movement was to raise $101,010 by Oct. 10, 2010. However, they reached their goal in less than 24 hours! As of this post, the Nation has raised $110,719, from 2,721 it-getters, helping 29,267 students. Way to go, Nation! [...]
