I received this wonderful review of ‘Daily Show’ writer Kevin Bleyer at the Boca Raton Literary Festival this week from Zoner Kelsey D. She wrote, “As a 15-year-old, not a lot of my friends really watch the ‘Daily Show’ or the ‘Colbert Report’, and I’m a huge fan of both Jon and Stephen, so I really like seeing what other people have to say about their shows on your site. I was thrilled when I saw that Kevin Bleyer, a write for the Daily Show, was coming to my hometown of Boca Raton to give a talk.” She was kind enough to do this write-up for all of us – thank you so much, Kelsey!
G’day Zoners! I hope you’ve all had a good week, I’ve spent my final week of freedom before the new Uni year starts by relaxing and admiring Stephen’s new “Project Magazine” cover (so much less scary than the alternate version!!), and to help you all relax, I’ve got the latest round up of Six Degrees news. This week Jon Stewart, Lewis Black and John Legend add Grammy’s to their trophy cabinets, John Oliver has a special edition of his “New York Stand-Up Show”, Allison Silverman’s new series has been picked up for a second season, and Movits! and The Moutain Goats have a new albums on the way.
G’day Zoners! The boys are on a break this week, but that doesn’t mean there’s a break in the world of Six Degrees. This week Amy Sedaris drops by “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, Neil DeGrasse Tyson stopped by Bill Maher’s round table, Ed Helms has a new movie out, Dana Carvey returned to “Saturday Night Live”, and Jon Stewart has been named one of the best stand-up comics to graduate from MTV.
Did you know that the ‘Daily Show’ has a franchise in the Netherlands? Neither did we, until we saw this video of TDS:N host Jan Jaap van der Wal interviewing Jon Stewart at the TDS:TOS studios. You can check out more about the new show at the The Daily Show (Nederlandse Editie) official site.
Who knew Stephen had a side job as a personal shopper? And I’d love to see the Egg Store and Milk Store. And if Jon doesn’t think you can get eggs, milk and pants at the same store, he’s obviously never been to a Super Wal-Mart or Super Target. Then again, Jon does live in Manhattan.
G’day Zoners!! and welcome to the latest Six Degrees round up. This week we have some exciting new projects from the TCR writers, interviews with Amy and David Sedaris and Jon Stewart joins the 9/11 Memorial Board.
From the UCB website: Come see the Telly Award-winning writers for The Colbert Report improvise a long form right before your very eyes. Will there be hilarity? Will there be myrth? Will Jeff Goldblum make a surprise guest appearance? Yes, yes and oh my god, probably.
ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE SOLD OUT – There will be a stand-by line for this show.
Splitsider.com has come up with another fantastic ‘Colbert Report’ related interview, this time with former executive producer and headwriter of the show, Allison Silverman.
G’day Zoners!! and welcome to the first Six Degrees round-up of 2011. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas / New Year’s and are nice and rested for the year ahead. Today we have some interviews and guest appearances by Amy Sedaris, the taping of Wyatt Cenac’s comedy special, John Oliver on the cover of New York magazine and more!
