About This Site
“The vast majority of bloggers out there are responsible correspondents doing fine work in niche reporting fields like Gilmore Girl fan fiction, or cute things their cats do, or photoshopped images of the Gilmore Girls as cats. That’s great. Where I draw the line is with these attack-bloggers. Just someone with a computer who gathers, collates and publishes accurate information that is then read by the general public. They have no credibility. All they have is facts. Spare me.”

MISSION STATEMENTS ROCK!
The purpose of this fan site is to aggregate topical news articles and buzz from the blogosphere into a comprehensive Colbert-centric news source. We also feature exclusive interviews, daily Episode Guides, and breaking news updates with live coverage of events.
WHY NO FACT ZONE FOR THE SITE NAME?
The term “No Fact Zone” comes from a sketch that was originally done during Colbert’s stint on ‘The Daily Show’. TDS ran multiple parody commercials for the then-non existent show for Stephen, called ‘The Colbert Report’ (“It’s French, B#tch!”). One of the lines in one of these promos has Stephen parodying Bill O-Reilly’s No Spin Zone with the line, “Come take a spin in the No-Fact Zone!” It seemed appropriate, and when I found the quote at the header of this page, I realized I had found a fantastic site name.
You can see the original sketch in this video clip.
BUILDING THE BEST STEPHEN COLBERT FAN SITE ON THE WEB
EXCLUSIVE BREAKING NEWS
We’ve had the fortune to garner exclusive interviews with people such as Ben Karlin (co-creator and former executive producer, ‘The Colbert Report’), Mark Malkoff (audience coordinator, ‘The Colbert Report’), Tom Peyer (author, ‘Tek Jansen’ comic series), Scott Chantler (illustrator, ‘Tek Jansen’ series) and other players who have appeared on ‘The Colbert Report.’ We’ve also gained a loyal following who have tipped us off to some amazing scoops, the biggest two so far being our breaking of the Ben & Jerry’s Stephen Colbert’s AmeriCone Dream story and the Richard Branson water fight (click to watch TCR’s coverage of the story).

FINAL THOUGHTS
I’d like to say a special thanks to all of the readers of this blog – you know who you are. I could blog all day and know that I am doing a good job, but honestly, it makes it so much better when I know that what I do is being appreciated by so many Stephen Colbert fans. It is very validating to me to know that someone other than me finds this level of detail about a very specific blog topic to be entertaining and worthwhile. And let’s not forget, I get so many good tips from all of you who read my blog. Every day, I get e-mails with resources, links, and ideas that help this blog be more interesting than ever. Please keep those cards and letters coming, kids. It’s always better to play with a team than with yourself, I always say. So please, come play in our sandbox.
Also, let me make something clear to anyone who has made it this far. We are not employees of Comedy Central. This site is not run by Comedy Central, and I put in a long legal disclaimer hoping to CYA, but the short version is “I’m just a little ol’ fan. Please don’t sue me.” No one is making money on this site. We do this for the sheer love of All Things Colbert. Bottom line is that this site is all about promoting Stephen Colbert, all praise and glory to his name, peace be upon him.
So thank you for joining us today, and feel free to peruse and return often. We, the No Fact Zone crack team of journalists/bloggers/uberfans of Stephen Colbert, promise we will make this site worth your while.
