The I’m With Coco fan group over on Facebook has been spearheading a movement to get the Emmy award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series back into the main Emmy broadcast. Here is their advice for calling the Emmy planning offices to get the writers and directors awards back on the air!
Word started getting around yesterday that the Emmy award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series would not be included in the prime time Emmy telecast on NBC on August 29th. The original source of the dust-up was a tweet from one of Conan’s writers, Deon Cole: NOT “NBC” but the powers that be has sent us an email saying that the category we are nominated for will not be televised this year! really? Of course, this made many people not at all happy.
In honor of the 41st anniversary of man’s first stroll on the surface of the moon, I thought it would be fun to look back at how Stephen marked the occasion last year: with a demonstration of zero-G candy consumption, and little Stevie ColberT’s historic coverage of the event, proof that Stephen’s love affair with NASA and the space program started when he was very young.
I was perusing for a picture for another post I’m working on, and came upon this one which I’ve never seen before. Isn’t it pretty?!
