Eye Candy – Friggin’ Lucky Zoners edition

I wanted to share these pics, sent to us by some very lucky members of the Colbert Nation, who were fortunate enough to be able to go to the Two River theater benefit at the Count Basie theater last weekend. If you happen to have any other pics, please send them to me as I’d love to add them to this post.

Also, here’s a couple of amazingly unofficial bootleg videos, courtesy of Lockhart43. Although the audio is a bit tough to follow at times (turn on the captions for Video 2 to make the listening a bit easier), make sure to listen around the 3:40 mark in the second video.

I think if I had been able to get that close to him I would have indeed passed out. It was bad enough that when I was waiting at the mic, I had to keep saying to myself, “He’s just a regular guy…” LOL! You were so lucky!

If you click on the up triangle in the lower right hand side of the video, it gives you the option of captions, and just select that. The audio will make a LOT more sense after the video.

Just so everyone knows, that second video IS captioned. I wish the audio had been better, but no dice. I will caption the first video as soon as I have some time.
And way to go on the pics, narsilicious & MC the 2nd! My knees were already weak just talking to the guy – I’m fairly certain that I would have passed out if I would have gotten that close. Truth. :D

Thanks for the vid, lockhart43 and thanks for the captions – I couldn’t make out but 5 words the first time I watched it.
DB – can we add a note that there are captions before the video to ease the frustration of listening before reading the comments?

Lockhart43, thank you SO MUCH for these videos with captions to boot! Just out of curiosity, what was being said between 1:25 and 1:30 in teh second video?

The audio isn’t very good – it’s not just you. If you’re watching the second video, you can turn on the captions, which help a LOT!

I was indeed a VERY lucky woman to meet him and be standing so close to him with my arm wrapped tightly around him, stroking the small of his lovely back! Mmmmmmmmm! He was just utterly BEAUTIFUL and a true gent!
I have more pics (took about 50 of him!)if anyone wants to see ‘em- I posted some at The C-Section down at ColbertNation.
It was the BEST night of my life AND getting to see him the next night at the taping of the show. Thank you Stephen for being SO kind to let me come to the show. It was AWESOME!!!
I just can’t wait to see him again, sod holidays, Stephen is my destination of choice from now on and I’m alreadt saving up for my next adventure to see him!
Lockhart43, thanks SO much for the vid, ( I was stood in front of you at the mic Q & A bit and it was me who cheered for you when you mentioned NFZ!!!!) I start recording it too, but got scared off when that message came over the tannoy telling us that recording was strictly forbidden. I was scared I’d get thrown out of the theatre!!! LOL!
Going to email Aaron Posner and ask if there’s any chance of them bringing out a special copy of the interview on DVD. Also waiting for Mike the photogrpher to send official pics! Yay!!!

Is the “C-Section” what used to be the Fangirl Forum (or whatever)? I haven’t been to CN in ages, but I can’t see the fangirl forum anymore, nor do I see the C-Section. Any ideas?

Yes, they renamed it recently. And yes, you have to have special access, so unless you have it, you can’t see anything in there.
Hopefully MrsC2 will be back and share the whole story with everyone.

I’m so thrilled that Stephen’s praise of NFZ — and mentioning DB by name!! — was captured on video so she can keep it forever! Great job, lockhart43!!! (DB, have you figured out how to put Stephen saying “That’s a great site … I only know of DB” on a continuous loop? Sooo sweet!)
