That’s the second time in a week that you’ve read my mind. This is getting weird. Or awesome.

I would just love to spend an afternoon shopping with Amy Sedaris. Or just watching her while she shops. Just to see what she buys.
Also, it just occurred to me after seeing her apartment, that Pee Wee Herman must have survived his dark period by going into interior decorating.
Never mind. I bet that she really opened Stephen up to his darker, comic side when they met years ago…
Thank you, Amy! You are great. And we need to see more funny women!

Don’t know if you all saw this today, but apparently Garrison Keillor is retiring from his radio show and has stated that of all the people he would pick to replace him, it would be Stephen Colbert (!). Um, Garrison, that’s very flattering. But he’s rather busy. And he has this, um, show, that we’d really rather he didn’t leave. Although he finds time for everything else, so who knows? Here’s the link to the NY Times article:

I would have quoted something from the Amy Sedaris article, but I loved all of it too much to pick one sentence. She is just fantastic.
I liked the article on Jon Stewart’s best takedowns, too – the crew over at TDS have been pitch perfect lately. The White House/Common segment last week was particularly amazing. Jon Stewart rapping is never not hilarious. And I can’t wait to read Demetri Martin’s book! I just sold one of my textbooks back to Amazon, and now I know what to buy with my online gift card. :)

These links are great! I love this feature so much — it introduces me to people, ideas, and events I would never, ever know about, and I am going to miss it terribly (wah, wah wah… Debbie Downer).
