What a nice surprise to get a sneak peek at these two intelligent, warm, smiling men before the show! I love how Stephen’s always ready to pose for a picture. It’s just more proof that he’s very gracious. Can’t wait to see them both in another half hour…

What I like most about this photo is how geeked out Ayman is to be next to Stephen.
That’d be exactly how I would look too! :D

Haha, same here. Yeah, from what I heard he was super excited to be on the show, and it was a good interview :).
Lovely picture, so funny to see the height difference :D.

It’s always funny to me to see Stephen standing next to someone taller than him. I know his height is pretty average, but I’m just over 5’4″, so Stephen’s tall to me. Which means Ayman Mohyeldin is GI-normous. :P

Haha, I met up with a friend last week – she’s more of a Jon girl, but the very closest thing I have to an it-getter here. I was telling her about going to the TCR taping and she said “AWESOME!” and then asked “How short is he??”, before telling me how she always works out the height difference between Jon and his guests when they come on. [This was followed by a 'Who's Sexier, Jon or Stephen?" debate over lunch. But I digress...]
Anyway, I must admit I thought Stephen looked fairly short in the flesh …and I’m 5’1″!

When I went to see TCR in person, I had the same thought. “Hmmm. Stephen isn’t as tall as I thought he was.” Which was then followed by another thought. “Oh my gosh — How short is Jon?!?”
Stephen isn’t all that tall, but Jon always looks about a foot shorter for some reason. I do think I recall Jon saying during one of his shows, however, that Jon said how tall he was, and though I can’t recall specifically, I know it was somewhere in the 5’4″ to 5’6″ range. Definitely not taller. And I don’t think Stephen is 6’6″, so perhaps Jon needs better posture?
Well, I love them both. But Stephen, you are 6’6″ in my heart.

Jon is 5’6″. Stephen is 5’10″. Jimmy Fallon is 5’11″ (I looked it up out of curiousity because I was surprised to see Jimmy beeing a smidgen taller than Stephen in the ice cream episode). So I’m guessing that Ayman is REALLY tall.

I definitely think it’s television’s fault, meaning it always goes back to the saying of how famous people are always shorter in person. And that was definitely true when I was at a TDS taping over the summer; although I think with Jon, it’s more of his small stature rather than his posture. But however small he is, he’s still two inches taller than me, so I can’t judge, lol.

I’m just getting such a hoot with the height difference in this picture. I knew that Stephen was pretty average-tall for a man, but Ayman is towering over him! I know that if I (someday) stand next to Stephen, he’d be towering over my 5’3.5″ petiteness. They both look genuinely psyched to be with each other. And it’s a bonus that Ayman is QUITE a looker. Two handsome, intelligent and well-informed men in one photo. *sigh* Why aren’t there more men like them in this world (or just Stephen in general, not that I’m dissing Ayman, just that I’ve known about Stephen longer than Ayman)? I’m sure more women would be happy…myself included…

Okay so since we’re on the subject of tall-ness and short-ness, I just remembered this amusing little anecdote. I’ll share it with you now. :-)
I recently saw a picture of Stephen from the end of the rally. In the pic, you could see that he was next to someone but you couldn’t see who. The first thing I thought was, “I don’t remember seeing Stephen kneeling down on his knees at the end of the rally, but I was so far away that I couldn’t really see very well.” Then a little while later, I realized that he wasn’t on his knees at all. He was standing. The guy that he was next to was Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
I think the top of his head was in line with Kareem’s navel.
Also, Ayman is one fine looking guy!
