I love that last picture, too. I think that’s the best picture to sum up the rally. I was able to watch the highlights on Comedy Central. It was adorkable and geeky and fun and poignant and beautiful.

Ohhh thank you so much for this post! Oddly enough, it made complete sense that Stephen would come onstage in an Evel Knievel outfit. Along with those ridiculous yet awesome pants, the stars and stripes fleece jacket sort of made Stephen look like one giant fleece blanket that I frankly wouldn’t mind cuddling up with. And that Airman’s jacket is so cool!
Finally, I cannot thank you enough for the last picture of the post, the one with Stephen’s hand on Jon’s back. I saw it on Getty Images yesterday, but couldn’t find it without a watermark. That is truly one of my favorite pictures of anything ever. :)

Does anyone know the significance of the necklaces Stephen wears? I’ve seen him with them on before and always wondered who gave them to him or if they represent anything.
Stephen some how manages to make a white jump suit look good, though I’m not surprised. The man could make a hesian sack look good!! He can seriously rock a brown bomber jacket like nobody’s business!! I seriously hope he wears it out more often!!
