The current issue of the Northwestern University alumni magazine is featuring a cover story on Stephen, which is one of the most in-depth articles I’ve ever read on the beginning of his career. There’s a lot of fascinating background information on his time at Northwestern and his earliest days as an actor, and comments from many of his old roommates and fellow actors that offer insight into both Stephen’s character and his development as a performer.
Stephen Colbert has taken some time this week to answer the questions of 11 lucky Redditors, to thank the Reddit community for all of their support towards DonorsChoose.org. The read is quite interesting, and gives some new insight to his career, his experience at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, and the “Stephen” character.

Today is a pretty special day out in the Colbert fandom, because two of Stephen’s best partners-in-crime, Paul Dinello and Jon Stewart, both celebrate their birthdays. I think it’s an amazing coincidence that these two talented men who have been such an important part of Stephen’s life share the same birthday.
