Fan site for Stephen Colbert and the Colbert Report
A big event isn’t really an event without its own merchandise, right? Comedy Central is now selling official merchandise for the Sanity/Fear rally on October 30th. The competing rallies each have their own t-shirts, caps, pins, and bumper stickers, and the net proceeds from all of it will be going to charity.

For those of you who weren’t able to stay up late last night, please enjoy this video of Stephen Colbert on ‘Late Show with David Letterman’. Stephen talks about such diverse subjects as the Pottygate issue with the Marine Corps Marathon and the logistics of the rally, and his experiences testifying at the House Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law.

The New York Times published an article today with regard to the coinciding events on the weekend of October 30-31st. In addition to the March/Rally event hosted by Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, the National Mall will also host the Marine Corps Marathon on October 31st, with attendance for the marathon anticipated at 30,000. And apparently, the Marine Corps Marathon organizers are not much for sharing. Specifically, they’re not up for sharing the port-a-potties rented for the Sunday event with the Rally goers at the Saturday event.
Above virtually all else, Lou Dobbs has been known in his career as being anti-immigrant, a fact that the ‘Colbert Report’ has been pointing out for years. New information brought to light, however, points Lou Dobbs in a very negative light. According to The Nation, Dobbs has knowingly been employing non-documented workers for years, often with low pay and long hours.

Now I know that Stephen said to take the Insanity Bus instead of the HuffPo Sanity Bus, a free ride to the March/Rally event in Washington, D.C. on October 30th. However, for you lucky New Yorkers, this could be a road trip of a lifetime, and it’s a free way to get to DC.
