‘Colbert Report’ writers perform at UCB Theater TONIGHT!

Colbert Report Writers - Creative Arts Emmys 2010

If you’re really into seeing Emmy winners, and you happen to be in the New York area, and you’ve got the evening free, and you have $5, I would highly recommend making it out to the Upright Citizens Brigade theater tonight. The UCB NY stage is going to again feature many of the ‘Colbert Report’ writers in their “Seize The Mustard” long-form performance show. On the performance roster for tonight:

  • Peter Gwinn
  • Meredith Scardino
  • Michael Brumm
  • Opus Moreschi
  • Rob Dubbin
  • Eric Drysdale
  • Max Werner
  • Jay Katsir
  • Cecilia Lederer

Oh, I would give my right kidney to be able to see this. Please, please, would any lucky Zoner who gets to go, share an event reporT with us? Thanks!

Shout Out (Hey!): Thumb up +2

I second the wish for an event reporT, would absolutely love to see this show but unfortunately won’t be able to make it (being in Australia and all)!

Shout Out (Hey!): Thumb up +4

  3. Spoon At A Spork Fight says:

I didn’t make it to this show (still wiped out from seeing a Daily Show taping on Tuesday and catching up at work), but I did get to see the show a month or two ago when Eric Drysdale started a scene by looking at his scene partner and saying, “Robot, hence!” (which still cracks me up). The last scene involved Eric and Peter Gwinn as rival robot inventors who realized that Eric really just needed to be drowned in robot hugs. Don’t we all? The audience had a great vibe and the show was a lot of fun. Definitely worth checking out. :-)
