Eye Candy: The United States Army Jazz Ambassadors visit the Colbert Report

I have a very special place in my heart for a man in a uniform, and if they’re holding an instrument, even better. The Jazz Ambassadors Twitter account linked to a Facebook photo album with over 70 pictures from last night’s show. Here are some of the best of the bunch!

  1. now if there is only a picture of Stephen and Yogi together my day will be made!

  2. I’m still smiling from the VP serving the troops hot dogs! So great to see these behind-the-scenes pics.

And, am I wrong but, is that Paul Dinello in the left hand corner of picture 56?

That is absolutely Paul Dinello in Picture #56, nice catch! He’s working on the show as a Consulting Producer, and I’ve also noticed his name in the Writing credits quite a few times. :)

I flipped right by him! He always looks so adorably grandpa-ish in those cardigan sweaters he wears :). Ok, seriously, SERIOUSLY now, I’m going to stop looking at pictures and do something useful. And…. go!

  3. What great pix! They look like they were having a good time. So much work goes into the show on just a normal day. I can hardly imagine what it must’ve been like yesterday, and today for that matter.

Can’t wait for tonight’s show! Thanks for posting these wonderful pix!

They were fantastic! I really liked that jazzy, orchestra version of the Colbert Report’s theme song!

  5. I used to have a friend in the Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps (Army). They had some pretty cool gigs, but this tops them all!

  6. It was great how they each got to sit at the desk. Arhhh living vicariously through them. *thumbs up* … looking forward to tonight’s festivities!

  7. These and the Facebook pix are full of WIN! Thanks, DB! I will never tire of behind-the-scenes photos of the set. NEVER! : )

I am love, love, LOVING all of the news and pictures coming through the wire from last night’s massive episode! Plus, it’s nice to get photos taken during a taping, since it’s such a rarity.
