Sometimes, you just have to hear the f-bomb bleeped over and over and over. This is one of those times. And this fanvid makes me laugh inappropriately.

“Sometimes, you just have to hear the f-bomb bleeped over and over and over.”
Amen! This video makes me giggle like a schoolgirl.

That’s hilarious! I love hearing Stephen swear. I don’t know why, I just do.

Me too! I was watched the Global Edition the other night and, to my delight, my Islamic overlords had failed to beep out the swear words – brilliant!

So do I! It’s incredibly hawt.

I like when they take the fanvid to that next level, not only repurpose content but actually put their own mark on it. Like the Remix challenge for example.

There is another fanvid about the ‘C bump’ on this user’s channel which is also hilarious….

Ha! I find it interesting that the less hair Stephen has the more foul-mouthed he is.
Apparently, it wasn’t just the ladies who were traumatized by that buzz cut! ;)

I know, I thought it was funny that so many of those clips were from last year when his hair was growing back!
(Okay, reCAPTCHA, I can’t read German gothic, or whatever that funky font is… good grief.)

Salty talk! Very entertaining! And that’s a pretty impressive video!

This is so mind-bendy, to see Stephen commentating on himself! I love all the salty talk, though. Lol. I don’t know why, but I love when Stephen swears! Hope I can hear him uncensored one day at a taping…

Can’t watch this with the sound on as I’m presently at work [!], but my favourite fanvid is still Jon and Stephen in “If You Were Gay” – epic and done with so much love! Makes me crack up every time.
[The downside is that I then go around singing the bloody song all day....]

What a fun video! Stephen swearing is always fun, and to have it all mashed together makes it abso-effing-lutely amazing!
(BTW, my fave is when he uses the word motherf@#%er). I don’t know why I think that’s so hilarious. Maybe it’s because he’s said it *to* people at the interview desk. Like that guy with the student/prison guard study. When he said to Stephen, “You must have paid attention in Sunday school”. Stephen said, “I *teach* Sunday school, motherf@#$er!”
Never not funny…
Also, is it me, or are the recaptchas getting harder to decipher?
Shout Out (Hey!):

It’s not you. I’ve been taking screencaps of the recaptchas, from any site, that are completely illegible and sending them to my friend, who thinks they’re hilarious :).
Also: I totally had a dream about the issue of bleeping last night, and I’m sure it was from watching this video :). It was something about the reason that the N word did not get bleeped on TDS for that Dr. Laura segment recently.

No, it’s not just you–the recaptchas ARE getting harder to decipher! Not always–but sometimes the script is so weird that it’s hard to figure out. Or there are weird symbols you can’t duplicate, though I’ve noticed I’m still able to post without typing those.
And awesome video! it was especially fun for me, because I’ve just re-read the Rolling Stone interview where the writer says that he never curses in real life!

I thought that RS thing was funny, because of course I’ve read/heard plenty of interviews where he swears casually. He may not be a sailor, but he’s no church boy either (oh wait, he is!) ;)
Fun fanvid, but gak, I could skip all the annoying sound effects in the background!

Wren–replying to you this way because for some strange reason there’s no “reply” button by your quote: I actually thought that Stephen may have been deliberately messing with the interviewer in that article. When he asks “How do you know I’m not playing a role now?” I immediately wondered whether he was, just a little. (Even though he says it wouldn’t have been worth it to take the time and sit down without being serious.)
Also, as I recall, the interview itself contained no “goshs, darns” or other euphemisms!
Very interesting. It was a very unusual interview for Stephen, since he usually doesn’t discuss Evie much either. Maybe others here have read articles I haven’t, but while he’ll sometimes speak about himself as husband or father, I haven’t read many where he’s talked about Evie’s personality or their marriage. But perhaps other interviewers haven’t queried. Not sure.

I agree, though it doesn’t even have to be explicitly putting on a role. We code-shift all the time, presenting slightly different views of ourselves depending on the company, the situation, etc. It’s not deceptive, it’s just normal social adaptation. What surprises me is that clearly didn’t occur to the interviewer, and he made such a big deal of the apparent contrast. So sometimes Stephen swears, sometimes he doesn’t. Isn’t that true of most people? ;)
