I know I’m not alone in eagerly awaiting Steve Carell’s inaugural visit to The Colbert Report; it’s really been too long since I last saw those two men share a television screen. They really shouldn’t let things go so long as that!
Anyhow, I’m whetting my appetite for the show at present by recalling favorite appearances from yesteryear, and I thought I’d repost one of the more obscure ones here, for those of you who may have missed it before (or who just wanted an excuse to watch it again). This song will now be stuck in my brain for the rest of the day…and i do not mind one bit! I’ve watched this clip (and listened to the mp3) far more times than can be considered healthy, and i’ve never not laughed. The bit you quoted slays me every single time. That whole show is so dark and twisted and genius. (I’ll stop before the superlatives get out of hand.)

According to the IMDb page on this, Allison Silverman was the writer and Madeleine Smithberg & Lizz Winstead were the creators … another fine example of women it-getters!!
