Hee hee! DB pointed me toward some cute photos showing DEVO backstage at The Colbert Report from clubdevo.com, and they (and their captions) really made me smile. Stephen seems to be enjoying the “useless machine” Mark Frauenfelder introduced almost as much as I do!

You probably noticed that DEVO was on The Colbert Report last night. You probably guessed that they did a bit of a rehearsal and soundcheck on the set of The Report before the show. And you’re probably familiar with their 1980 single, “Whip It”.
Watch it all come together in this video … and look for a familiar, bespectacled face to make an appearance toward the end of the clip.

The Wall Street Journal and NBC NY weigh in the Bloomsday on Broadway celebration, with particular emphasis on the reading done by our friend Stephen Colbert.
