Stephen Colbert says goodbye to ‘Lost’

The patron saint of Stephen Colbert fans seems to be working overtime to ensure that we continue to get clips and tidbits of Stephen throughout this two week hiatus. It’s such a treat for a fanbase jonesing for its next view of its favorite fundit!

Our latest entry is from Jimmy Kimmel’s tribute to the ending of Lost, where Stephen sent in a video comparing the series to Gilligan’s Island. Watch it below — and thanks to wren for the assist on the Hulu snip (we’re all about teamwork here).

I’ve been watching “Lost” since Season 1, and really enjoyed the finale. I watched it in a theater with hundreds of other fans, and it was AMAZING! I don’t care if Ben killed half the island, he was always my favorite. Well, tied with Hurley. I sure hope Jorge Garcia and Michael Emerson get work soon, preferably in a show that is on a lot, for a long time.

After giving so much of my emotions to “The End” last night, I simply had to stay up and see my gang one more time on Jimmy Kimmel last night. So when I saw Stephen on the show, I thought, “Well, that’s a surprise!” Totally did not expect it. It was almost better than Vincent showing up in the finale. Almost.

Are you as emotionally exhausted today as I am? I’m still not completely sure how I felt about it all, but it sure did make me cry like a baby, and that’s gotta count for something. And Vincent staying with Jack? Gah! Pure win.

I never watched Lost either, but loved this clip! Gilligan’s Island. Hee. The extra hand was great, as was him talking to Camera 3 (?), and saying, “Or did they”, with that melodramatic tone he does so well. *And* the double-eyebrow thing. Bwah!

I love how he gets himself involved in everything. Whether it has anything to do with him or not.

i was surprised by the appearance.

but i wish he mentioned cuse and lindeloff instead. Abrams stopped being involved a long time ago.
