Greetings and salutations, Zoners! Our long national nightmare is nearly over — TCR returns tomorrow, and we shall all breathe a collective sigh of relief. I wasn’t certain if an AYNTK post is warranted during the break, but there’s been so many great posts in the last couple of weeks! I decided it was best to gather them all up in one spot before we head back to our regular schedule.
Fantasy Colbert League: June 1-June 3
Welcome back from the long break! It feels good to return. Although we have a shortened week ahead of us, there are some good guests lined up. Ayaan Hirsi Ali was previously on the show, and Lisa Miller was supposed to be on earlier in the year. Vampire Weekend is totally awesome, so I am ready to get my Report on again.
Six Degrees: In Space Edition.
G’day Zoners, I hope you’re all surviving the break. Two weeks is far too long for our beloved Stephen to be away from us for. It is worth the wait though, Stephen at NASA will of course be amazing. I love how giddy he gets anytime any space related comes about.
Klassic Kolbert: A Glenn Beck round up
I’ve been missing my nightly dose of Stephen Colbert, but I’ve enjoyed reading people’s reactions to some of the reruns. In particular, there’s been some internet buzz about Stephen’s most recent segment on Glenn Beck. So, while I’m eager for the new shows to return to air on Tuesday, I thought I should take this opportunity to repost a collection of my favorite Colbert Report Glenn Beck moments.
Fangirl Suit Report: Vancouverage Pre-qual

So, to wrap this up, here are just a few extra screen shots of “Vancouverage pre-qual Stephen” — the fashion horse! He crosses genres, eras, sport venues, fabrics and comfort levels; truly a Olympian in his habiliments. Kudos to the vesture department.
Fangirl Suit Report: Vancouverage Suitage, Le Fin

Zoners, the last night of taping in Vancouver *wink wink.* So much tape, so little air time! So I am relatively new to blogging on NFZ, most honored BTW, and I offer fangirl screen caps based mostly on what he is wearing and on occasion, “just” because of his smile and his handsome face. In the Vancouverage, it was evident from his contagious and spontaneous smiles and laughter that he was really enjoying himself. His happiness is our happiness. Enjoy!
BookExpo America presents: Jon Stewart

We mentioned some time back that Jon Stewart would be the master of ceremonies for one of this year’s BookExpo America events; it’s part of his promotional campaign for the upcoming Earth (The Book): A Visitor’s Guide to the Human Race from the writers of The Daily Show. The event took place this morning, and we’re starting to see some tidbits from that breakfast panel turning up now.
Six Degrees: Comedy Below Canal: Some Folks with Wyatt Cenac and Friends
Heads up Zoners! If your free on Thursday, here’s a nice little event from the folks over at 92YTribeca.
Check out their Facebook Event Listing to see more details and to RSVP.
Six Degrees: ‘Colbert Report’ Writers Edition
We hope that the ‘Colbert Report’ writers are getting lots of rest this week, and will come back relaxed and refreshed. However, many of them have side projects that have been keeping them quite busy lately, and we’d like to bring some of them to your attention.
Fangirl Suit Report: Vancouverage Suitage: Part C

Okay, Zoners, day three of Vancouverage Suitage. With his wooing of the Russian women the previous night, he snuck up on the Cold War so that this night, he could launch his ICBM – I, Colbert, Beatific Manliness. He stepped in and stepped up as “Fabulous” detector and Assistant Psychologist.
