According to the LA Times, Lt. Gov Abel Maldonado will be appearing on the ‘Colbert Report’ this evening.
The Santa Maria Republican will appear on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” to discuss Proposition 14, the open-primary measure on November’s ballot that he has pushed. It’s unclear how much interest Colbert will have in that; wonky election rules aren’t especially funny. So it will be interesting to see how the earnest-
seeming Maldonado interacts with the off-kilter Colbert.
Seeing as how passionate Stephen has been about the new Arizona bill, this should be a very interesting conversation!

That was a good interview. I loved how close to each other Stephen and Maldonado were during the whole thing. Stephen uses his hands a lot when he talks (which I love), so when Maldonado started doing the same thing, I thought they were going to accidentally hit each other at any second, haha.
