I loved that Vancouver Sun article, and way to go Lunchbox for getting quoted! I also love that they called Stephen “nerdishly handsome.” Plus, it was fantastic that the other person they interviewed stuffed his shoes with toilet paper from McDonald’s to keep his feet warm. We members of the Colbert Nation sure are resourceful! :P
Stephen climbing into that fake fireplace, with Bob Costas laughing hysterically was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. :]

I wish Colbert did the color commentary…it would be splendid and be a good excuse to watch him in the love guru

I know, I was really, really hoping he would do some of the commentary. I absolutely loved the interview, but he would have done a great job at color commentating (and he would have been hilarious as well :]).

Climbing into the fireplace is just priceless. It’s like when he did the dead fish flop all over the Early Show’s electoral map; he’s so completely uninhibited and random, he breaks all the rules & expectations of the standard interview format, and people just can’t help but bust out laughing.

I read elsewhere that there was a part 2 to his interview with Costas. Has anyone seen it online?
