“Syrup-suckers” welcome Colbert to Vancouver

When Stephen Colbert calls for his Nation to support him, they do it, even when he’s on “foreign” soil. Check out these vids from today’s taping in Vancouver from jruckman‘s photostream:

And seriously, just how big is that crowd? Check out this photo from Eyesno.

There were SO many people there – that’s awesome! Loved that he threw in a little King of Glory twirl when he walked out to the crowd, too. :D

Oh, I didn’t notice that because I played it with the sound off. That’s awesome!
I think they might play Movits! at the TCR tapings now. I know when I was at Two River, they played two Movits! songs; I got so excited when I recognized them, lol.

Seriously, that was fun, but never again for me. That’s okay, I’m sure many more will take my place.

So… I was totally wrong about how it would probably be a “sit on the grass” kind of show. It wasn’t just because there were so many people. I didn’t realize the park had turned into a muddy swamp. People who are going on Thursday, I have two words for you – wear boots.

I wonder if the mud might not be so bad tomorrow. I wouldn’t risk any nice shoes, though. Consider yourselves warned.

Was it just me or was it really cold even though it looks so nice out? I was wearing a crazy number of layers and dressed for warmth (and not style! Ha) – tights under the pants, thick socks over the tights, gloves, two layers of hats… it wasn’t enough. My hands and feet were freezing.

Bring heat pads, hot water bottles, whatever you can use to keep your hands and feet warm. I’m only just getting the feeling back in my extremities now, hours after the show ended.

But it could be because I get cold easily. Also could have something to do with being unable to move and standing in a spot that didn’t get much sunlight (people who were standing in the sunlight – was it warmer over there?)

Speaking of not being able to move – it’s probably best to keep everything you’ll need in the hours you’re there in a place that doesn’t require you to move much to get at your stuff.
