SPOILER ALERT! Stephen Colbert takes his “Assistant Sports Psychologist” role very seriously

Behind the cut, hear the latest scoop about Stephen’s new title – Assistant Sports Psychologist for the 2010 US Olympic Speedskating Team!

According to the Daily Utah Chronicle, Stephen is working with the official Sports Psychologist for the 2010 US Olympic Speedskating Team, Nicole Miller, to get trained on his new position with the team.

The position will not be official, but it will land Miller, the team’s real psychologist, on “The Colbert Report” on Monday. Miller and one of her speed skaters will have a scripted skit with Colbert, in which Miller will teach Colbert how to interact with athletes.

“It probably won’t be anything remotely close to what I do,” Miller said. “The reason (Colbert) chose to do the sports psychology role is because there is no end to the humor you can have with people’s emotions.”

Another pre-Olympic segment? We are so wonderfully spoiled, I love it! Stephen as “Assistant Sports Psychologist” was such a great idea – can’t wait to see this!
