Hey, y’all! I don’t know about you, but I’m always bowled over by the charitable impulses of those few people in the entertainment industry that I follow (Stephen, Jon Stewart, et al). I often find myself opening up the proverbial checkbook to donate to the charities and organizations they highlight, and it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling to do so.
Unfortunately, I don’t always have the resources to help out the way I’d like (five figures for the interview table — awesome!) but, hey, every little bit helps, right? That’s why I’m giving a big tip of the hat to the rockin’ comedy club Comix, which is throwing an “‘I’m with Coco’ Benefit for Haiti” Thursday night. The show is already sold out — not surprising, considering the lineup — but you can still participate and contribute to the charity of choice, Partners in Health, by bidding on the above copy of The Amazing Spider-Man #573, autographed by both Stephen Colbert and friend of the show Joe Quesada.
