Greetings, all. As you can see from the post’s title (if you didn’t already know), it’s World AIDS Day, a day to fight for increased awareness of the disease, education on how to prevent its spread, and tolerance toward those who are HIV positive or suffering from AIDS. It’s no laughing matter and I hope you check out the site linked above; the medical community has made great strides in diagnosing and treating AIDS since it emerged in the 1970s and 80s, but there’s still a long way to go before a vaccine or effective and affordable treatments become available.

In the mean time, I thought this was as good a day as any to encourage people to promote sexual health. So, here’s just a dash of levity thrown in to sweeten my lecture: Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, DFA on “Sexual Health“.
