Weekend BrunchWelcome to our (mostly) weekly discussion group to talk about Stephen, our lives, our friendships with each other, and pretty much anything you’d like to talk about with other readers of No Fact Zone, what we here affectionately call “the Zoners”.

Good morning, Zoners! I sure hope everyone is having a lovely time spending time with family and friends, watching your favorite sports team win and/or lose, and eating until your pants don’t fit anymore. It’s a gorgeous day here in downtown Dallas. The window’s open, the pecan pies are cooking in the oven, and soon I will be heading out to BFriscoE to have a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with my friends John P and his beautiful bride Holly and their 24 pound turkey. My other half, on the other hand, is freezing in Wisconsin with his family, and I’m sure is having a lovely time and the feeling will come back to his fingertips any moment now.

This sure has been a busy break week, huh? I’m not used to seeing so much new news come out of a break week. And I would also like to thank the Zoners for being civilized in the comments about the, um, lunch that Stephen was so thoughtful to pack during his Lake Placid adventure. It’s weeks like this, though, that I’m so very grateful to have a blogging staff that helps to spread the work around, so we all get a chance to take a bit of a blogging breather. I’ve been enjoying the time around my house on a Joss Whedon Hulu binge, watching the first season of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and the only season of “Firefly”. Nathan Fillion AND Adam Baldwin AND Alan “Father” Tudyk in the same TV program, and written by Joss Whedon to boot? How have I never watched this show before?!

This is a bit random, but I’ve been meaning to introduce all of you to someone who kind of rocks my world on a regular basis. If you don’t follow my Twitter feed, you may not have been exposed to the utter awesomeness that is The Bloggess, who makes me laugh at pretty much every turn and to whom I someday hope to make a fool out of myself in front of as I thank her for all the joy she brings to my life. Also, you seriously need to check out James Garfield.

It’s also traditional for people to give thanks this time of year, so I’d like to talk about the things I’m thankful for. I’m thankful for a very cute husband with a really great butt that puts up with me blogging about another man for most of my waking spare time. I’m thankful for having a wonderful job, with a wonderful boss, and wonderful pay, and a wonderful cubicle, with wonderful hours that allow me to do my episode guides every morning and still get a good night’s sleep most nights. I’m thankful for the Completists, who have taken this blog from being a very nice fan site to being not only the #1 Stephen Colbert fan site on the web, but one of the best sites on the web for any fandom out there. I’m thankful for this wonderful community we have here at No Fact Zone, who let me talk about Stephen Colbert all I want and share with me the happiness that is the Joy Machine. And, last, but certainly not least, I am thankful for Stephen Tyrone Colbert, who is kind enough to share himself with us four days a week, and sometimes on the weekends in red spandex.

When you’re between courses during your feast today, or just need to get away from “the fam” as the kids would say, please feel free to enjoy this wonderful episode of Strangers With Candy, “Trail of Tears”, which includes Stephen Colbert in a very cute pilgrim outfit and Andy Richter getting pegged in the head with rocks. Enjoy!
