I agree that dissing Palin’s book was out of character for “Stephen”, but I still thought it was funny. Did you all know that the Vancouver Olympic Committee has offered to make Stephen Colbert Ombudsman of the Speed Skating Oval, giving him unlimited access – provided he wears a pink toque (woolly hat to you Americans)? I assume that the hint and the conciliatory nod to maple syrup in the opening segment are a sign that he has forgiven my country and will be visiting in February. Of course, I will still be in Beijing, but I am delighted anyway.

The Balls montage was one of the greatest flashback montages ever! I laughed sooo hard during the whole thing. It was such a great way for Stephen to make the entire ThreatDown centered around him.
I have only one word for Stephen’s “steaming pile of sh*t” comment about Palin’s book: MASSIVE. The entire Word was brilliant.

Sort-of off-topic, but did anyone see TDS lastnight? Jon’s comments on Palin were spot-on as well. :)

It was a toss up between the Word and Threatdown. I went with the Word because I loved the fact that even “Stephen” felt Palin’s book was a steaming pile of crap. (Loved the little boy on TDS last night that said he’d rather be stabbed in the heart than read it lol) But I did get giddy over the old This Week In God clip.

I had no idea that Norah Jones had switched from jazz to alternative! I sort of liked her old look and feel like she’s trying to look too “hip” now, but I respect her decision to switch music genres.

I was excited as well about the heavy hint that Stephen will be going to the Olympics!
