Fangirl Suit Report – Week of November 9

By Jordan on November 15th, 2009 ·

Hey ya’ll! I’m just a little excited because I met somebody today! Somebody at the bookstore! Somebody who has the same taste in literature as I do! Oh, and the adventure begins again. Edition: Kinda goofy.

Monday, November 9

Black pinstripe suit, white shirt, navy, red & white striped tie, french cuffs
BKAD: Black suit, white shirt, gold tie with blue and white diagonal stripes, no cuffs

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • I like to think he’s really always as excited as he acts at the beginning of the show. :3
  • He never wears barrel cuffs anymore ;-;
  • I love when BKAD interviewees actually look like they’re have as good a time as Stephen appears to be having.

Stephen Colbert - November 15, 2009

Tuesday, November 10

Black suit, white shirt, black tie with pink dots, no cuffs.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • brb, playin’ the smokey water flute
  • AH! The dance-behind-Barney-Frank dance! Always loved it so much.
  • The Islamic Revolution Pheasant. Oh. Man. Lol.
  • He is so cute holy god. This is not even a comment on the show, just, he is and you know it, internets.
  • Trying really hard right now to not write something wholly inappropriate involving a few choice euphemisms and/or ice cream. All ending in “I’m all for that, baby.”

Stephen Colbert - November 10, 1009

And there is no way I was about to NOT screencap this:

Stephen Colbert, Maria Shriver - Ice cream - November 10, 2009

Wednesday, November 11

Black thin pinstripe suit, white shirt, navy tie with silver square pattern, no cuffs.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Ooh, free yogurALKJFEIOLFJSAFFFFFFFF.
  • A lot in this episode reminded me of I Am America (And So Can You). ‘Specially the Pox News cast, teehee. What if – liberals won…
  • Continued on page lettuce.

Because, “reading a hamburger” is perhaps equally as goofy as eating one.

Stephen Colbert - November 10, 2009

Stephen Colbert - November 10, 2009 - eating

Thursday, November 12

Black suit, white shirt, gold tie with purple pattern, french cuffs

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • In your face and massively dope.
  • Award-winning xenophobe. Oh how poignant~
  • “Ahhhh I think I know everything! Guatemalan werewolves are massing on our borders!” – Lou Dobbs/Stephen Colbert
  • That guy is loaded.
  • Yes! Another rendition of Star Spangled Banner, complete with ridiculous harmonies. :D

Stephen Colbert - Lou Dobbs - November 12, 2009

And I will end on this note:

Stephen Colbert - Woody Harrelson - November 12, 2009

Fin!

Love the screencaps! My favorite would be the one with Maria Shriver. :)

First off, LOVE the Family Guy quote! :)
The tie that he wore on Monday is one of my faves – he looks great in bold, wide-striped ties. French Cuffs = Love.
If he could play the clip of him dancing behind Barney Frank during every episode, I would be infinitely happy.
And thank you so much for that screencap of him and Woody Harrelson – that was my favorite shot of them when they were singing! It’s like you read my mind :)

Thank you! It was my favourite shot of them also!

And completely agreed about the bold coloured ties. So great.

p.s. Oh god thank you for recognizing the quote. It’d be pretty terrible if I had just genuinely been talking about my relationships via this post hahaha.

Just thinking about it now…I miss his barrel cuffs too :\

haha no problemo :) I actually watched the episode the quote is from today lol! I’m definitely a Family Guy fanatic – my friends and I normally find a way to fit an FG quote into our conversations hahaha :)
Oh, and don’t worry – my mind went in the gutter during the Maria Shriver/ice cream interview as well. It just happened. It was impossible for it not to. :}

I’m confused about missing the barrel cuffs – barrel cuffs are what he’s wearing when not wearing the French cuffs. (I don’t know where the “no cuff” idea comes from)

Oh man, I think you’re right. I always thought barrel cuff implied wearing the sleeves the same way only with a cufflink, but you’re right. It’s just barrel cuff without cufflinks. That’s really ~the distinction~. Sorry. Hate myself ~_~

Jennie, you’re right :) – the one-button barrel cuffs are what he’s wearing when he’s not wearing the French cuffs. I was thinking of the two button barrel cuff that he sometimes wears – where the cuff has two vertical buttonholes; lately he’s just been wearing shirts with the one button.

Oh my goodness! Some absolutely wonderful screencaps. I love the one with Maria Shriver and the first one and…oh, they’re all good. Great job this week, bb. ;)
