WHAT?!?!?!
Jay Leno tied with Stephen? (storms out of NFZ in disgust)
Okay I’m back. Jay Leno isn’t good enough to lick Stephen’s ornately decorated cowboy boots.
Who wrote that article anyway? Whoever wrote it obviously doesn’t really watch TCR very often at all. If he/she had said tied with Letterman or Conan or hey here’s one…how bout a guy named Jon Stewart? then yeah I could go along with that.
Leno sucks and he’s not worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as Stephen, Jon, Letterman or Conan.
Yeah! and don’t even get me started on how much material Leno steals from other shows.
Okay I’m calm now. I dumped some sugar on myself. That really does work;-)

I’m not sure what criteria applied for the “evaluation,” other than the writer’s opinion. Yeah, I never thought of what Stephen does as a monologue. Nor do I think that he and Jay Leno can or should be compared for what they do, because Stephen is clearly better at it. Disclaimer: I may be a bit biased. ;-)

All four of them as hosts would be the best Oscars in history! Don’t think it’ll happen, though.

And how exactly did the Chicago Tribune “evaluate” the late-night shows? TDS and TCR have a very different feel & format from all those other shows and are so brilliantly written and executed that the others are so far behind, quality wise. Does Stephen even do a monologue? Heh. I guess the whole show – minus the interviews – is the monologue, then? ;)
