Fangirl Suit Report – Week of October 12

By Jordan on October 25th, 2009 ·

fangirl-suit-report-logoI’d like to introduce Jordan, our newest Completist! She’s totally jazzed about doing the Fangirl Suit report for us, and I think she’s going to make an excellent addition to the No Fact Zone team. Make sure you give her a friendly Zoner welcome in the comments. Thanks for your hard work on this post, Jordan, and we look forward to many more happy Fangirl moments from you!

Hey ya’ll! I’m Jordan! This is my first ‘Fangirl Suit Report’, and I have to admit I’m incredibly excited! (Perhaps more excited than one should ever be at the prospect of writing about a man’s weekly attire. Ah well! Such is the life for a fangirl.) I hope I can do VerbalTypo justice, seeing as how her Suit Reports quickly became one of my favourite posts on NFZ. Anyway, less me, more Stephen.

Monday, October 12

Charcoal grey pinstripe suit, white shirt, french cuffs, and gold tie with blue and white square pattern.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Oh god, this week’s Fallback Position. The cardigan tied at the shoulders! The popped collar! And of course, the short shorts.
  • The zombie banter was priceless.
Best of both worlds ^.^

Best of both worlds ^.^

Tuesday, October 13

Black suit with thin pinstripe, white shirt, no cuffs, cranberry tie with small yellow pattern.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Flawless hair today.
  • Is it just me, or does Jermaine Maine kind of look like a creepy Japanese school girl? Maybe it’s the faint mustache shadow. Who knows!
  • Stephen reciting the Nicene Creed is always my absolute favourite!
  • David Javerbaum! I was really interested in seeing how he and Stephen would interact.

Wednesday, October 14

Black suit, white shirt, no cuffs, (really lovely) eggplant tie with red and pale blue pattern, THE MOST RIDICULOUS COWBOY BOOTS YOU’LL EVER SEE.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • There were so many parts of this episode reminiscent of Chuck Noblet. The cowboy boots? The fat complex? Sigh.
  • I love that he’s still wearing the boots during the interview. Isn’t he the greatest? *gush

Thursday, October 15

Charcoal grey suit with wide pinstripe, light blue shirt, silver tie with blue square pattern, french cuffs. Yay cuffs!

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • I looooved the intro today. From Stephen’s voice cracking slightly when he confessed his ‘crimes’ to the joke about grandparents sending money in birthday cards. Wonderful.
  • The ’sexual market’ editing was absolutely. brilliant. Just so great.
  • “I should have known…the one day I don’t shave my chest. Or my shoulders.”
  • Oh, pizza and Stephen Colbert. Fangirl-swoon induced haze, brb.
  • Let’s make Mayo-hem!
  • The most wonderful toss in the world.

Bravo Jordan! This is one of my favorite pieces on the site, too. How can you go wrong with pics of Stephen? I think you’re going to do just fine! ;) Thanks for volunteering/agreeing to keep it going.

The boots also reminded me of Mr. Noblet and I loved that he kept them on all episode!

Great post Jordan! I always look forward to the FSRs, and I’m glad to see someone quickly taking the reins!
That bit with the pizza was priceless – “How am I supposed to eat this? It can’t be done!” hahaha!
It’s so hard to pick a favorite suit this week. His ties were fantastic on Tues/Wed, but he rocked the French cuffs on Mon/Thurs. I’m gonna go with Tuesday, if only for the pinstripes with that tie. And that gorgeous hair :)
Love the cowboy boots pic! When I saw him running to the interview with those boots still on, I about lost it. *sigh* I miss Chuck Noblet…

Thank you!
Oh my god yes. The cones were so vile haha.
That’d be a good like, ‘end note’, you know? “Best suit of the week” or something. I REALLY liked Wednesday’s tie. The screencap doesn’t do it justice at all. But agreed, the french cuffs are lovely and I am ALWAYS down for pinstripes.
I miss Noblet too. I wish he’d do a cameo or something. <3

Welcome Jordan! and thanks for giving us a new FSR so soon. Thanks for the pictures – my fav is Tuesday with the “flawless” hair as you so rightly put it – and that great red tie. Great to know that we’ll continue to see great screen grabs of Stephen’s suits :)
