Get Stephen Colbert on your iPhone

By Ms Interpreted on October 13th, 2009 ·

If you’ve ever watched The WØRD and wished you could just wrap it up and take it with you, well, now there’s an app for that. From AppShopper.com:

The Colbert Report’s The Word

. . .

Download The Word iPhone App and you’ll have every Word at your fingertips — anywhere, anytime — listed either by date or alphabetically. There’s even a “Surprise me!” function. Every time Stephen does a new Word it will be posted and featured, too.

So if you’ve dreamed about having Stephen in your pocket (and who hasn’t?), you can stop dreaming and start downloading. And don’t forget to check back soon for more apps from The Colbert Report!

According to our resident iPhone owner DB, the app works pretty well on 3G (it’s a little blurry) but should be even better on WiFi. She also sent a few screenshots so you can get an idea of what the menu and segments look like (check out the links).

Pretty cool, huh? It will be interesting to see what other apps the show has in store. Maybe I’ll consider getting an iPhone someday.

Oh, so not fair! Verizon needs to stop fussing with Google & get a contract w/Apple so I can finally get a iPhone.

I totally didn’t realize I needed to download 3.1, so now I’m doing that and hopefully soon I’ll be enjoying this app. it’s a pretty good deal for such quick access to ALL the Words. :)

I got so stoked when I saw this app in the app store. I really wish they’d make an app that you can watch entire episodes on. I’ll definitely pay for that, right now I’m not really feeling paying $.99 for this. I’m kind of not understanding with this isn’t free since there are ads and the same thing can be viewed on the website for free. But maybe I’m just cynical :P it is a good sign though that *something* was put out. Maybe they’ll provide more elaborate content in the future.

(my recaptcha is crackup spending hehe)
