The ever-urbane Mr. Tharoor seems quite confident (his previous visits have certainly gone well), but Dr. Gupta sounds a bit nervous — perhaps he fears that Stephen will take issue with the title of his new book!

Gupta has been doing the media circuit (i think he just started on it). He was on Fresh Air this afternoon and was very very interesting. The podcast might be one of my favs in the last 2 weeks.

Hi Everyone! I’ve been offline for a while, but it’s nice to be back. I have to admit, I kind of think that the Gupta is pretty cute. I loved it when Michael Moore reamed him during the Sicko healthcare debate thing during the election last year, so I agree it should be nice to see him with Stephen.
Oh and DB, congrats on the LA Times mention. The mention to your site was well deserved.

Just saw tonights TCR in Australia and raced on here to see if there were any comments on Stephen’s tennis outfit (and the jock strap…grrrrr!)
Unfortunately there are non, so I will have to come back tomorrow to see the response of it-getters.

Peppermint, thanks for the heads-up about the outfit. I just downloaded last night’s episode, & skipped to the tennis segment. Loved the “protective gear”! Will have to wait till after work to watch the rest of the episode.

Yeah, I was also looking if nfz had something on the new ep, even if it is only a smokin’ pole, er i mean a stephen r.a.p.s. because I just have so many questions:
What is Stephen referencing to himself being a nobel laureate? me didn’t get
Is the quote “Boom goes the dynamite” verbatim from what Nobel originally said?
Can anyone make an animated gif of the swastika turning into a peace sign?
And finally, where can I get a ball bazooka? So i can also become a tennis champion heh
