Before we go, let’s check in with our good friend Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report…
Hello and welcome to the end of another week, Zoners! You’re not imagining things — there was no Toss this week, nor was there one last week. I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to get itchy! There’s tons in the archives, though, so why not enjoy one of the old ones, that’s what I say. There was a request for this one recently — have a look:
April 25, 2006: Daily/Colbert – Proofreader: Stephen Colbert speaks in typos because his proofreader is out sick.

And what the heck, here’s another, in honor of Columbus Day:
October 9, 2006 (three years ago today!): Daily/Colbert – Columbus Day: Stephen Colbert tells Jon that Christopher Columbus originally set out with four ships — the Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria and Wet Dream II.

There ya go, Toss Fans — two great classic Tosses, with some fun character breaks! Happy Columbus Day weekend to everyone, and hopefully next week we’ll see a new Toss.
Oh, I’d never seen that Proofreader one! That was hilarious! And the Columbus one was my absolute fave until they just recently had that one where Jon bites off a piece of his script. :P

I’ve never seen the proofreading one either and I proofread at my job! Stephen did just a brilliant job of improvising typo words! I wonder how he’d do at an illegible handwritten sentence!
and yes, the Columbus day toss is one of the very best!

Thread hijack – do we think Colbert will do some spoof of The Office wedding dance which in itself was a spoof of the YouTube wedding dance? The mind boggles … he could have so much fun with this …

Oh, thank you, nerdygirl! I’ve been so disappointed at the toss drought. While I’ve seen the typo one before, I don’t think I’d seen the Columbus Day one – I love watching Stephen break character!

Haha! Two of my favorites. I was just thinking yesterday that we would have to post the Columbus Day toss. So yay for reading my mind! Heh.
“What are you, struplid??” Hahahaha…
