Goooooood morning Zoners! Well, I meant to get this up yesterday, but I got so bogged down in work that this week’s Klassic Kolbert had to wait until today. Oh well, better late than never. So, the other night Stephen got on the subject of Afghanistan and how the country is like one of those crazy girlfriends that you don’t know why you started dating in the first place. Well, over at The Daily Show, there is a goldmine of crazy Afghanistan clips for us to enjoy, three of which I’ll be featuring today.
First off: Even Stevphens!!! Plus, I would love to know what they were doing to make Jon break in the beginning.
Even Stevphen – Secrets – Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert discuss whether the government should keep secrets about the war in Afghanistan.

Another two clips (both really the same segment however) featuring Steve Carell that I enjoy because I learned that Steve Carell binges when he’s depressed, and Stephen has 10 years of experience as a party-planner. I wonder if that was before or after his sojourn with Stephen and the Colberts?
Semi-Cas Airdrop – Feeling the airdropped MRE’s don’t have enough zazz, Stephen Colbert plans a semi-cas open bar for the Afghani refugees.

From U.S. – Steve Carell is upset that no one informed him that the food packages dropped from the airplanes are for Afghani refugees and not him.

Fondue!!
That reminds me of Strangers With Candy and how they made the joke (a couple times) about potatoes dipped in caramel.
