Wow, guys, this is going to be a juggernaut of a show! The New York Comedy Festival has just added an amazing event to its lineup, and the Comedy Central Insider has the skinny (some internal links omitted):

So, what is Stand Up for Heroes? It’s a benefit for the Bob Woodruff Foundation hosted by Brian Williams, with comedy from Stephen Colbert, Louis CK and Lisa Lampanelli and musical performances by Bruce Springsteen and John Ondrasik.
It’s all happening at New York’s Town Hall on Wednesday, November 4 at 8pm and is part of the New York Comedy Festival. Click here for ticket information.

Stephen and Brian Williams and Bruuuuuuuce!? Sign me up, please!
Note: The Ticketmaster link says tickets are currently unavailable online, but I have not been able to determine whether it’s because they’re sold out already (likely) or because they have yet to go on sale. If anyone can confirm one way or the other, please let us know in the comments. Good luck, all!

::cries:: I hate hearing about these things when it’s too late (website says tickets went on sale yesterday, and now there’s no (buy tickets) link so I think you’re probably right about sellout). Oddly enough the ccinsider post has been taken down? Maybe they are relocating to a larger venue to sell more tickets ::I can dream::

$100 – $500? Ouch that’s out of my price league. Hope some Zoners can make it.

(10/2) I just checked the Town Hall web-site’s calender of events:
http://www.the-townhall-nyc.org/pages/calendar/november.html
When you click on ITS Ticketmaster link:
http://www.ticketmaster.com/venue/24622?brand=townhall#
it says: “currently not on sale”
When you click on “more info” it takes you to a screen that includes this comment:
“FOR BOX OFFICE ONSALE INFO CALL: 212-840-2824″
So tix may only be available at the box office?

CCinsider pulled the article, and, if Ticketmonster has tix, they’re been sold to their borker service.

I went to the Town Hall box office in NYC today (10/5) and here’s the scoop:
Tix WERE supposed to be available thru Ticketmaster on 9/30 but it didn’t happen (duh) They should go on sale thru TM sometime this week (but the guy hadn’t heard from the “powers that be” yet). So I guess our best bet is to check TM every day til we see something.
Tix will be available at the Town Hall Box Office 3 weeks before the concert (10/15?) but you can only buy those IN PERSON at the box office – not by phone.
I’ll be in NYC again on Thurs., so if anyone has any Q’s I can swing by TH and ask.
