VIDEO: Writers’ montages from Emmy nominees 2009
ByThe montage clip of the nominees in the category of “Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series” is one of the highlights of the Emmys, for me, every year. For those of you who missed it, we’ve managed to locate a clear copy of the clip. Nicely done, all!
Hard as it was to see Stephen’s team passed by this year, I’ve got to congratulate the folks from The Daily Show once again. Jon Stewart “pulling a sincerity muscle” last night to acknowledge his crew was also pretty sweet and, well, lovely.

I loved Stephen’s writers in front of the Late Show. The nominated writers bits are one of the funniest parts of the show.
Also, loved Conan’s facebook friends bit and Billy Crystal singing “these are names that nobody knows”. After this clip you can watch clips of previous year’s nominees in the same window. Good Stuff!

Thank you so much for posting :-)
The hug between Jon and Stephen was really a bit awkward.

We apologize for the ‘404′ error code that is still coming up on the link you created for ~ Jon Stewart “pulling a sincerity muscle” ~ Though The Daily Show staff is aware of this and the Full Episode is loading just fine; it remains a problem that has yet to be fixed. Thanks for the great work here! I try to plug you as often as I can over there.

So cute when Stephen started waving in the middle of his outburst! When I tuned in I caught the tail end of the miniseries part; so happy that Dr. Horrible showed up and that the Comedy part was up next. The montages are brilliant! :)
Jon Stewart is just a sweet sweet man. Congrats once again to The Daily Show! :)

Ohhhh Conesie Bone. I love you dearly. Such a handsome fellow. With great writers to boot!
I hope Jon’s “sincerity muscle” heals. Such a mensch.
Oh, Stephen, someday you will get your dues. Or we’ll meet the a-pop-calypse!
