Good day Zoners, and thank God that the break is finally over! I missed our man, and was happy to see that he (and his hair) was back in full form. The “Corporations as People” theme from Tuesday’s show inspired today’s pick for Klassic Kolbert. As Stephen made the point that corporations are actually people, I couldn’t help but remember this segment featuring an oil corporation who would only speak to Stephen in the guise of an adorable little girl. Enjoy!

Tanks A Lot – Though oil prices have reached record highs, one unscrupulous gas station owner is lowering his prices.

I remember the end credits for this episode when it first aired showed the bloopers between Stephen and his little girl. So cute.

I know! Someone posted the bloopers on DailyMotion for awhile, but then they were taken down. Loved seeing the father-daughter interaction. So sweet!

This was the first segment I saw of Stephen’s! It’s basically what made me a fan of his. My husband, who I had just started dating at the time, was (and is) a big fan of the show and got me watching it. I thought it was funny but I wasn’t big into politics yet and didn’t pay much attention until this came on. There was just something about this guy that I found really interesting. Afterward, I would ask my husband to tell me whenever Stephen was on the show because he was my favorite part by far. The rest is history.

I wish I could see those bloopers! I don’t remember them.

Might I add that I hope Mr. Parmar (sp?) is doing better off today! Really sad and disturbing end to that segment.

I don’t remember that segment – thanks for posting it, LadyNocturne. The interaction between Stephen & his daughter was adorable – wish we could see the bloopers (Come on, CC, give us the bloopers!).

I, too, hope Mr. Parmar is better off today than he was under Getty’s ginormous thumb.

I’ve always wondered what happened to Mr. Parmar after that. I liked the guy for not taking advantage of customers. He seemed so decent. Anyway, count me in as someone who wishes we could see the bloopers. I didn’t see the original airing of this. :(
