Better Know A Completist: Jennie

This post series profiles the wonderful Colbert Completists who work to keep this site the absolute best Stephen Colbert fan site on the internet.

Better Know A CompletistBlogging handle:
Jennie – Senior International Correspondent

Age:
If I live to be 100, I’m middle aged

How long have you been a Completist?:
Since December 2006!! [Ed. Note: Jennie was our very first Completist here at No Fact Zone. She kept on sending me news articles every single day, and after a while, I said, how about I set you up an account, and you post these yourself? And I suckered her into it she gladly volunteered to help! She's done over 100 episode guides, from the very first show until I started the blog in July 2006, and she's done many, many others since then. Because of her tireless work, our 'Colbert Report' Episode Guide collection is the most comprehensive on the web. Oh, and she rocks. Okay, I'm done now. - DB]

What’s your No Fact Zone news beat?:
Breaking news (the overnight desk), special projects

Occupation:
Free lance writer, teacher, and lecturer, professional student

When did you first become a ‘Colbert Report’/ Stephen Colbert fan?:
Casual fan of Stephen Colbert during Indecision 2000. Hard core fan during Indecision 2004. ‘Colbert Report’ fan on October 17, 2005.

What are some of your hobbies outside of blogging?:
Music and musical instruments, cooking, films

Favorite recurring character on the ‘Colbert Report’:
Tad would be my favorite of all time, with Bobby a close second. Of the ones we still see it would be P.K. Winsome.

What’s your favorite part about participating in the Colbert fandom?:
I like stoned slackers? Oh, I’m sorry. That’s the Jon Stewart fandom. ;) The Colbert fandom has all the fun of being part of a clueless mob, except the members are all creative, witty, and open-hearted.

Favorite quote by Stephen Colbert:
This changes constantly, but the latest to my list was from Stephen’s descriptions of Glenn Beck’s tortured logic: “he climbed the wisdom tree, dangled the logic rope, and hanged himself until he was dead right.”

Is there anything else you’d like to tell the Zoners?:
She left this one blank, so I’m going to tell you something else cool about Jennie. She lives in Italy! - DB

I know it’s long overdue, but welcome back Jennie! I noticed your return to the site a while ago, but wasn’t sure if you were just dropping by or had returned to your Completist duties. In any case, it’s great to have you back.

To DB and the Completists, thanks for making the long break so much fun.

Shout Out (Hey!): Thumb up 0

  2. Jennie says:

Thanks, blt. I try to contribute as much as I can!

And thanks for the compliments, DB. There is something awesome about getting a “you rock” from DB.

Looking at my answers, I probably should have mentioned Bibo as one of my favorite recurring characters (considering he’s my avatar). I know he only came up twice, but he’s stuck with me.

Shout Out (Hey!): Thumb up 0

Thanks for being around since the beginning Jennie…even if some of us Zoners came later on! I can tell how grateful DB is for your help in the early days!

Did anyone catch “P.K. Winsome” on Conan last night? I don’t think he’ll be talking to Steven Seagal anytime soon;)

Shout Out (Hey!): Thumb up 0

Thanks for all you do for us around here, Jennie! How great that you live in Italy. We visited nine years ago, and I wish I could live there. It’s so beautiful, and the people are wonderful.

I agree with DB – You Rock!

Shout Out (Hey!): Thumb up 0
