The entire Tek Jansen series in a hardcover graphic novel - AVAILABLE NOW!

Every day this week, we’re going to be giving away fun and exciting prizes, and today’s prizes are Tek Jansen themed! In celebration of Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen coming out in hardback graphic novel version, Oni Press has offered to do one more promotion to get you some nifty swag!

If you haven’t had a chance yet to experience the Tek Jansen comic book series, you can see a 26-page preview of the novel here:
Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen – Hardcover – 26-page preview

The prizes we are giving away today are:

  • One (1) hardcopy of the Tek Janson graphic novel, containing the artwork from all five comic books
  • One (1) Tek Jansen poster, signed by Stephen Colbert
  • Thirteen (13) Tek Jansen posters

To win the prizes:

  • Go to Amazon.com and write a review of Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen hardcover graphic novel.
  • Send an e-mail to DB (@at) nofactzone (dot) net, and let me know you’ve done the review.

I’ll take the first 15 reviews, and pick a random winner of the hardback novel, and the autographed poster, and Oni Press will send everyone else a Tek Jansen poster.

Happy reviewing, and we’ll have another great contest tomorrow!

Tek Jansen! Awesome.
Quick question, is this in stores? I want to buy it, because I know I’m not going to win.

reCaptcha: member opaquest. This makes me laugh for some reason.

Yes, the graphic novel should be in your mainstream book stores in the graphic novels section, as well as at your local comic book store.

And you can’t win if you don’t enter. So give it a shot! :)

I feel the structure of this contest is problematic. I would like to enter the contest because I’m interested in reading the Tek Jansen comics and haven’t had a chance to do so yet. But I can’t enter the contest because I can’t write a review of the Tek Jansen comics because I haven’t read them yet. What is the point to only giving a prize to people who have already had access to the prize?

There is a bit of a catch-22 involved. However, many of our readers have already read one or more of the individual books. This compliation is the five books, bound together and printed on high quality paper. So if you’ve read the comics at all, you’re qualified to do a review.

Also, you can check out the 23-page preview link to get a good feel for the novel, the writing style, and the artwork. You can always comment on those aspects of the book, even if you haven’t read the entirety of it.

Hmm, I’d like to enter for the chance to win the hardcover. But I haven’t read the book, so can’t write a review. Catch-22. :(

I have a question, also, haha.
If you participate in one contest, are you not allowed to participate in the others?

You can participate in as many contests as you’d like this week. For this contest, only do one review, though. :)

We’ll get some clear rules for the other contests going on this week.

It’s really nice, it’s hardcover. I just bought it, even though I own all the comics.

I got this the day it came out, so I already have it. It is worth it. The hardcover format is definately better than the individual comics and fits better on a bookshelf. Also love the glossy paper feel. Makes it seem a lot sturdier than a little paperback comic. (I’m assuming that’s what the others were since I never actually seen one.)

Even though I’m not entering the contest, I’ll write up a nice review anyway just because it’s Tek Jansen (and Stephen-related!)

The comic books themselves are surprisingly sturdy. This was a top notch production.

True confessions: I’ve got the CC Tek Jansen poster over my bed, the cover art shown above in my foyer, and the original art from one of the comics (Horn Like Me) also in my bedroom, all professionally framed. Also have ten copies of each comic. And I think three of the CC Tek Jansen T-shirts.

I know I have issues.

What am I going to do now that the comic book series is done and they don’t seem to be making anymore animated shows? :)

I can’t write a review because I haven’t bought anything from Amazon (I know, shocking) and that’s their policy :( any way around this?

reCaptcha: “the lowbrow” is recaptcha making fun of me for not buying from Amazon!? I swear I do read books, I’m just a gotta-have-it-now girl who buys things in person!
