I think it’s fairly common knowledge that before I participated in this fandom, I was very active in the “Weird Al” Yankovic fandom. One of the more interesting people I met while participating in that fandom was The Great Luke Ski. He’s a performance artist, who sings a subgenre of folk called Filk – basically, nerd parody songs. When he performed at Alcon 2000 [the second "Weird Al" fan convention], me and my buddy Sean and a few other people threw what must have been about 50 pairs of panties onto the stage during Luke’s finale. From what I hear, he kept every pair. My husband and I even went out with him and his wife and our old buddy Keeter to play pool on State Street in Madison, Wisconsin one night when we were in town. And my husband was only my boyfriend at the time, so it’s been a while.

So I’m looking on Twitter, seeing if anything interesting had been tweeted about Stephen, and lo and behold, there’s my old buddy Luke, singing about Stephen Colbert. I just have to share it with everyone – I hope you enjoy it!

    DB, you know Luke Ski?! That’s awesome! I love his stuff, it never fails to make me laugh. I always love when he does songs for things I like, mainly because I get all of the references.

    Wow! What fun, DB! I’ve never heard of Luke Ski. What a great job he did with this song. He managed to pack pretty much everything into it.

      Great find DB. There is one problem with the song. Right now the Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill is not actually in space yet.

      It looks like he is a real it getter. You should let the people from the Report know about this somehow. I’m sure they would be interested.

    I was excited about the references to TCR, but when he got to “Strangers with Candy” and “Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law”, I got so excited that I literally accidentally stabbed myself in the eye with my finger. Ouch.
