I found the juxtaposition of Stand By Me and the discussion of the Town Hall screaming to be subtle, but tremendously striking.

Three Stephens!!! Yay!!!

Playing for Change gave me goosebumps. I’ve bookmarked the video to “Stand by Me” the very first time I saw it and I try to listen to it when I can.

Stephen is an adorable heartthrob. It needed to be said.

Sweetness!! I love Sweetness, but not in the totally inappropriate way that Stephen does. I didn’t find that segment uncomfortable at all. It was a big bowlful of wrong, but so, so funny. Who else would come up with something as insane and silly as a pregnant handgun?

Adding a third Stephen during Formidable Opponent was hilarious, and having him continue to rant during the Burger King commercial was genius. I love this show.

It’s awesome that they included the BK commerical. It had me dying of laughter. They need to air all the commericals like that. I would watch them.

OMG – I just checked out Comedy Central and they’ve added it to the clip for formidable opponent and in the full episode.
It wasn’t there when they first posted it this morning. Too funny!

Immediately following the Formidable Opponent segment (and the two “Stephens” telling the third that they had to go to commercial), Comedy Central cut away from The Report and began showing a Burger King ad for Whoppers. But the third Stephen continued his protest in a small oval that ran in the lower left hand corner of the screen throughout the whole commercial — he heckled and responded to everything that was said in the ad until, just before it ended, he discovered he had an intense desire for a Whopper, and the oval dropped off the picture. The rest of the commercials aired normally.

It was totally brilliant — like a MST3K or Rocky Horror Picture Show broadcast, where the only heckler was Stephen Colbert!
