I don’t know about you all, but I sometimes find the barrage of coverage about health care, the economy, the Gates arrest, and who has the best copy of a birth certificate EVER a bit, well, soul-crushing. I’m all for being informed, but mental health breaks are pretty good, too.
So if you’re finding the world to be just a little too much and you need a little pick-me-up, let me recommend this modest dose of Stephen Colbert, Cat Person.

Even though I quite love dogs (the story that prompted the lead-in to this piece is, frankly, terrible), I found that cat-loving Stephen was pretty nauseatingly cute.
Adorable. But what’s up with that audience? *taps mic* Is this thing on?
I made the mistake of watching the lead-in piece, and now my blood’s boiling. “Prick” doesn’t begin to describe that monster.
