Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart make the best intern bosses EVER!
ByFor those of you who were not lucky enough to land the best internship ever ever ever, or in other words, an internship with the ‘Colbert Report’ or the ‘Daily Show’, here’s what you missed this month. Ah, to have been young and finding jars of flies at the ‘Colbert Report’ – what a bunch of lucky rubes! Thanks to the Comedy Central Insider for letting us take a look at the fun adventures of these lucky ducky interns over the past three months.
The Rockterns’ Moment of Zen
posted by: comedy central insider
July 21, 2009 4:15 pmThe Rockterns capped off an amazing week full of free breakfasts with an intimate Q & A session with some guys who are on TV, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. The two-headed juggernaut of social commentary whom I refer to as Stewbert discussed the media (“I think the news media is just starting to catch on that we’re making fun of them.”), their approach to satire (Voltaire! Jonathan Swift! Smart things!) and the dues they paid (I, for one, totally would have watched The Magic Johnson Show if Stephen Colbert had played the “wacky uncle.”)
We were brimming with questions for the duo, many of which must remain confidential due to my not remembering them. But the Rockterns did have a long list of questions that we weren’t able to ask before being whisked away from the comedic Olympus that is the Daily Show offices. Insightful, meaningful questions …
When I grow up, I want to be a ‘Colbert Report’ intern. I so wish I was kidding.

Do they accept 30-something year old interns? Would that be weird? I would LOVE it!
BTW- Doesn’t Stephen look so casually cute in his khakis?!

Actually, the two interns closest to Stephen look 30-something, don’t they? Or this just wishful thinking on my part?

I would love to work as an intern too. I’m almost 30. I bet most are in their 20s.

He does look exceptionally yummy. I think the short hair works better with a more casual look rather than the suit, don’t you think?

Stephen does look cute. I love how Jon seems to always dress like Oscar Madison off camera.

Oh, man. An internship at TCR would be my dream come true. If only it were remotely possible. Sigh. Great pic, though! I love how casual Jon gets when he’s not on the show. And, as always, Stephen looks dashing. <333

I must also comment that Stephen look exceptionally cute in that picture. <3 Jon, as well. I love how casually he dresses when he's not in the suit.
I, too, think it would be so awesome to be a Colbert Report or Daily Show intern.

I always love seeing Jon in his casual uniform. I think his closet at home probably contains a dozen gray t-shirts and assorted khakis. BTW, there’s nothing wrong with that. I find Jon adorable and have been a fangirl since his early MTV days.
As for Stephen, he always looks great.

I actually know a girl who landed a Colbert Report internship for this coming winter! She’s an NYU student and the current object of her classmates’ jealousy, with good reason. She’s so nice. she actually drove my family and me into the city the day I went to an episode of the Report! I’m so happy for her.
