Wait, *how* many times has Neil deGrasse Tyson been on ‘The Colbert Report’?

Every week, I’ve been going to the ‘Colbert Report’ site and playing the little Dr. Pepper Colbert Report Aptitude Test. I enjoy seeing if I can get stumped. Hasn’t happened yet, but I kept hoping.

But … today the test said that I had gotten a question wrong and I went, wait, huh? This is the one I got wrong.

wrong

Those of you who watched last Monday’s ‘Colbert Report’ will understand my confusion.

So, Dr. Pepper Marketing team, in addition to doing a little bit of research before naming your contest, you know, in case a fan site has been named that for over a year, you also might want to check your questions, just to make sure they’re current. Just sayin’.

That being said, I still love the cool, refreshing taste of Dr. Pepper, and drink it almost every day. Dublin Dr. Pepper is my very favorite, and Dublin Dr. Pepper on tap (like at Chicken Express) is nectar of the Gods, I s@#t thee not. I’d have to give back my Texan card if I didn’t love it, seeing as how it’s pretty much the national drink of Texas. Love, love, LOVE the stuff. And I would be more than ecstatic to win the free trip to New York City. Thank you, and God bless.

Hah, I’ve kind of given up on those quizzes a)because the questions are pretty easy, and b)I’m inelligible to win the prize. :P But I have to agree with you, DB, about Dr. Pepper is emphatically delicious and I find myself drinking it almost every day in the summer.

I just came here after finishing that quiz and I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed that mistake!!

I’m a Coke girl myself, but I’d sure love to win that prize (although I did just get back from NYC and The Colbert Report taping, so I don’t exactly deserve it.)

My guess is that they made the quiz before the 6th visit and they have yet to change it.
It’s not like they’re in any rush to do so.
Just like with the Che Colbert shirt. It was like three months later before Comedy Central even got on the ball. If they actually wanted to make a little money they would produce the stuff a little quicker before it slips a fan’s mind.

I really wish they could have Neil on all the time. He’s such a fantastic interview and is so lively and vibrant about his field it actually piques my interest in astrophysics.

The “Colbert U” phrase they’re using is either a coincidence or just lack of research — and it wouldn’t have taken them long to discover their flagrant error had they actually done some. It’s definitely annoying — look who’s riding our coattails now. Oh, the irony.

It takes only a few minutes to double check Q&As before posting. If they’re going to poach the name Colbert U at least do the research guys.

I mostly don’t drink soda anymore, but when I did I was emphatically a Dr. Pepper girl — despite the late ’60s commercials suggesting Dr. Pepper be heated and drunk hot during the winter months. Ugh!

I haven’t played the Aptitude Tests — were they (also) required to be entered in the trip contest, or was just filling out the entry enough?
