Aw, cool! Ambassador Andrew Young’s show (Andrew Young Presents) was recently awarded a pair of Emmys, and the Southeastern Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences went one further and bestowed the Governor’s Award on Ambassador Young himself. In a nice bit of turnabout, Stephen Colbert took the opportunity to salute the Ambassador, and we can watch the tribute on his blog (click here or on the image).
For more on the history between Stephen and Andrew Young, you can watch his first appearance on The Colbert Report here, complete with revelation of the family connection (and wonderful serenade to the writers here). More recently, he visited The Report here.

That writer’s strike episode with Ambassador Young is my all time favorite. Congrats to Mr. Young, much deserved.

It’s my favorite episode, too, and I love “It’s All About Stephen” most of all.

YES! I came here just to that! That is by far the best and most genuine TCR episode!

What a great tribute! The episodes with Andrew Young (especially the one during the writers’ strike) were excellent.
However, the biggest news is that after searching so long, Stephen has his black friend. It’s about time! He couldn’t have picked a better guy.
