Stephen Colbert and ‘The Colbert Report’ to be in Baghdad next week
ByIt’s hit the Associated Press, so I’m guessing it’s finally safe to talk about. It looks like it’s official – Stephen Colbert will be in filming in Baghdad next week, starting June 8th. The show will have an audience of about 450 active service men and women each show. And God bless whatever AP person had the wisdom to put this picture of Stephen in the article.
EDIT:
It looks like the New York Times has an expanded version of this AP article (h/t Vigwig).

Sweet baby Jesus, that's hot
EDIT:
Stephen’s released a video asking us to blog it. So we’re definitely good. Whoo! We’re going to Iraq!

There’s a feature in the NY Times today about his trip.

That picture is really, really hot. Lol. Thanks for posting the video too, it’s nice to finally hear it straight from Stephen! I’m worried for him, but I’m sure that his crew and the army will do everything they can to protect him. Have a great time, TCR crew, and stay safe!! :D

Lovely photo, exciting news, great articles. (They’re there right now! Ack!) But I’m such a nitpicker – NY Times, you can’t figure out that the T is silent in both the man & the character’s names?? Fact check!
Safe travels for all the crew!!
