HuffPo asks readers who the sexiest comedians and comediennes are

If you’re dying to participate in a poll or two, the folks over at Huffington Post are asking who America’s sexiest funny people are. Our friend Stephen Colbert is one of the men up for the honor (he’s currently running second only to Jon Stewart and is followed by John Oliver), and Amy Sedaris is garnering her share of the votes on the women’s side of things. There are plenty of funny people to choose from, so click on the image below to get to the slideshow and let people know who your picks are!

Those are not the hottest pics of Stephen. If they had the one of him glasses-less with the broken wrist and brown shirt he’d be beating Stewart by at least a fraction of a millimeter.

I’m glad him and Stewart are 1 and 2…. but I think Stewart have the advantage here because he comes earlier in the sideshow. I was tempted to quit the show before Stephen came up, but I didn’t since I had to give him his props.

I voted for Jon, Stephen, Conan, Aasif and Joliver. It was hard leaving out Wyatt and Demetri, tho :(

Totally voted for Jon and Stephen, and also most of the Daily Show cast, cause they’re all totally hot. :P

Also – they definitely picked the best pictures of Stephen. :D

for some reason I read this post as saying “our friend Stewart Colbert” and I was so confused why they were being entered in as the same person.

anyway I have done my voting duty! :D

No offense, but this seems like a crazy poll for HuffPo — it belongs in Entertainment Weekly or Tiger Beat. I’m not sure why telling the world (in the comments section) one’s sexual sensation for a comedian would be of anything more than prurient interest.
In other words, it’s not news.

Actually, HuffPo does have an entertainment as well as a lifestyle section. It covers more than just the news. Just like the vast majority of US newspapers (on or offline) for ages. As for prurient interest, I’m all for it.

I’m well aware of HuffPo’s many sections. The Entertainment section has news — albeit of celebrities, but news. Silly polls about the “sexiest someone” are hit-beggars and unnecessary for HuffPo. IMO.

(I have Stephen’s mother’s name in my reCAPTCHA. I hope Mrs. Colbert is doing well.)

Since when did newspapers, blogs, etc just have to cover news. Besides, HuffPo has plenty of news. A few diversions never hurt anybody. All news and no play makes Jane a very dull girl.

I agree…they could have used this picture:

Or the one of him in a chair with his leg hanging over the arm…

Colbert, Stewart of course, but where’s Eddie Izzard?

  8. dustdevil says:

OK, I love John Oliver, but no way is he “sexier” than Aasif or Wyatt. (And certainly, the picture of John Oliver on the poll is nowhere near as sexy as the photo of Wyatt on the couch or Aasif in a tux. Rowwrr!)

  9. Ashley says:

I voted for Stephen and Jon. They picked the best pics for both of them.

Jon’s my man. He’s hilarous and had me rolling on the floor in stitches on numerous occassions (especially with his Zell Miller bit from the 2004 RNC Convention). However, for me, Stephen is the sexiest. Hands down! I love comedy, but Stephen is actually the first comedian I’ve found sexy. But, I still voted for Jon (as well as John Oliver, Aasif Mandvi and Dave Chappelle). I still ranked Stephen higher.
