Six Degrees: Tom Brokaw reads letter from Stephen Colbert to Fordham University

During a commencement speech this week, Tom Brokaw reads a note from Stephen Colbert to the Fordham University Class of 2009. I’m not sure what the context of this is, maybe one of the Fordham students might come on and talk about it, but the video made me laugh, so I’m sharing it.

In my imagination I see Colbert winning a poll but the faculty choosing Brokaw. It’s funny regardless. Awesome week.

LOL! When I went to TCR in January I remember one of the interns saying she was a student at Fordham. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not though.

I would think they wanted Dr. Colbert at Fordham, but he had already committed to speak at the MUSC
commencement and he couldn’t do both in one weekend. :)

I would imagine that this time of year, Stephen is in high demand. I wonder how many requests are made to have him speak? He is thoughtful, eloquent, insightful, sincere, and humorous–what more could you ask for?!

Stephen needs a clone this time of year. How great to have his “personal assistant”, Tom Brokaw, deliver his message to Fordham.

  9. Hahaaa! How much more “Stephen” can you get than that?
